Bio

Lila Vail (b. 1999, New York) is an artist based in North London. Her work consists mainly of sculpture and drawing, through which she addresses the Natural World, its fragility, vulnerability, power and beauty; hoping to promote a world where societies may live once again in harmony with it. Her sculptural works are constructed entirely from waste material, extracted from her surrounding environments. With an intricate attention to detail, she breathes new life into these things that were believed to have reached their end. Throughout her practice, Lila Vail unfolds worlds of imaginative natural forms that exist as a mediation between man and nature, in the hope that her audience may gravitate to a way of being in the world that honours Nature.
